The latest episode of Glee entitled “Dream On” that featured “Jollibee” rocked the Twitter world finally bumping out Justin Beiber and putting Jollibee as high as number 5 on the trending topics on the popular networking site. I admit I was giddy when I saw “Jollibee” during one of the musical production but I did not know that it will invade twitter! Below is a screencap of the said “cameo”.

As a season of mysteries are resolved, new ones emerge on the explosive season finale of Desperate Housewives entitled “I Guess This Is Goodbye”. A bomb, a baby and a major move out are just one of the major storylines.

It will be the first time more than 50 million voters are going experience a different kind of election as it’s the first time we’re going automated, meaning we will fill out new ballots and personally feed it to a machine that will read our votes. Just like any new things that we do, we must be aware of how to properly vote as small things that we take for granted can spell the difference between getting your votes counted and wasting your vote. Remember you’re entitled to only one vote and you’re not allowed to make mistakes.

Before Election Day
Find your precinct. Make sure to check beforehand your designated precinct, as there have been some changes. Usually people in the same household are assigned to the same precinct, though there are some instance that this is not the case so better check ahead. You can go to theComelec website’s precinct finderto check, just be sure you enter all the required information to get the correct result, otherwise you will be getting a message that you are not registered. You can also find out beforehand through your Barangay, your Voter’s ID number, precinct number, and your sequence number (the number beside your name on the list). This should speed up your voting. If this fails, be early on election day so that you will have time to find your name on the voter’s list.
Familiarize yourself with the ballot. Surely you might find some sample ballot being handed out by those running for position, but before election day it is smart to look at the sample ballot on the Comelec website as you might be overwhelmed with the number of running officials and partylist organizations. Remember too, that yourlocal election ballot is at the back of the national election one.
Finalize your list of candidates. If before we just need to memorize the candidates’ names, this time we also need to know their corresponding numbers. Take note that the ballot is so long and filled with names and numbers, so it’s easy to be confused. Make your own list preferably alphabetically by last name and with their corresponding numbers. For the National elections, you’re voting one (1) President, one (1) Vice-President, twelve (12) Senators and one (1) Partylist Organization. For the Local elections, you’re voting for one (1) Mayor, one (1) Vice Mayor, six (6) Councilors, one (1) City Representative or one (1) Congressman/woman, and, where it applies, one (1) Governor and one (1)Vice Governor. Again, make those choices beforehand, and remember their numbers.
On Election Day
Be early. Wake up early and try to vote first thing in the morning. Bear in mind that voting hours is only from 7am to 6pm, come early to have time to solve any problem. Don’t wait the last minute to cast your votes though we have a much longer time to vote, some precincts were merged thus more voters per precincts.
Bring a valid ID, voter’s ID will be preferred but if you don’t have one, present a driver’s license, passport, etc., any valid ID with your address and preferably a photo just in case an election official asks.
Bring your list of candidates; since this will the first time everybody will be voting this way, it will be easier if you have this list on hand so you will not hold up the line for other voters.
You only have one chance to have your ballot changed if you don’t like it, that’s when they first hand it to you. Inspect it right away. If you see folds, scratches or marks, you can ask for another one.
The ballot is very sensitive to marks, ink, water, stains, scratches, folds, sweat, etc. If you have grime on your hands, or your fingers are wet, or your sweat drops onto the ballot, the PCOS (Precinct Count Optical Scan) machine will not read it. Keep your hands very clean before voting. That is why indelible ink will be applied on your finger after you have voted, and not before. This is why you will be given your ballot in a very expensive folder—to lessen the actual handling of the ballot with your hands.
Shade FULLY the egg-shaped hole beside your chosen candidate. You will be provided with a marker. Do NOT check, line, X, dot, or half-shade the oval, because the PCOS machine will not read wrong shading. Try not to write beyond the oval.
There will be a barcode on the ballot. If this is marked in any way or scratched, the ballot will be spoiled. If anyone else handles your ballot, watch them well, in case they scratch the barcode to spoil your ballot.
You will have four tries to put your ballot through the PCOS machine. You can insert it whichever way you want but only four tries. If after the fourth it doesn’t read properly, your ballot is spoiled.
Mark no more than the exact number of choices. Note that you can undervote – vote less than needed, but not overvote – vote more than needed. The limit will be indicated on your ballot ( “Vote for not more than __”). If you vote more than the specified number, that portion of the ballot is invalidated.
Watch the readout on the PCOS unit when you insert your ballot. If successful, it will read, “Congratulations! Your ballot has been scanned.” If not, it will say why (i.e. “improper shading,” etc.). Make sure you read “Congratulations” before exiting to make sure your vote is counted. Watch the screen for important messages.

Summit Entertainment today released the final trailer of the third installment of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. In the trailer you will find Bella once again surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. A Vampire war will occur — so looking forward to that, as Edward, Bella and Jacob are forced to put aside their differences to take down murderous vampire Victoria. Like I wrote in my previous post, Bella is confronted with a very big decision — choosing between Edward and Jacob which will prove to be the most important decision of her life.

Episode 15 of the Emmy Award winning musical drama TV show Glee aptly titled The Power of Madonna, for me was their best episode so far. As the title suggest, it was their tribute episode to music icon Madonna.
For the first time in the series everyone had their equal camera exposure and promises exciting future episodes. Some of the highlights of the episodes was — three couples explore losing virginity issues and sings “Like A Virgin” with Finn finally losing his virginity, Kurt and Mercedes join the Cheerios and does “Four Minutes”, Jesse St. James enrolls at McKinley and joins New Directions (which for me was a bit fishy!), William getting a divorce and lastly Sue Sylvester who was a self-confessed Madonna fanatic had her own “Vogue” video which is now being watched over and over by Gleeks (Glee fans) all over the world.

Mr. Schuester is concerned that the girls in the glee club are being disrespected and bullied by the guys. Looking to Madonna and her musical message of equality as inspiration, he challenges the entire team to choose Madonna songs as their next assignment in the hopes that the girls embrace her strength, independence and confidence and that the guys will see the error of their misogynistic ways. The glee club takes the assignment to heart as they perform some of Madonna’s greatest hits, including “Express Yourself” and “Like A Prayer.” Meanwhile, Kurt and Mercedes give Sue a vote of confidence with a makeover that is definitely in “Vogue.”

Not only are travelers in Europe are having trouble due to this Icelandic Volcano but news reporters around the word as well. Like one FOX news reporter I would rather call it ” that volcano that erupted in Iceland” and save of the humiliation (no offense to Icelandic people). Found this tutorial in you tube to properly pronounce it’s name.
Although the large ash plume was not unparalleled in its abundance, its location was particularly noticeable because it drifted across such well populated areas.
The Eyjafjallajökull volcano in southern Iceland began erupting on March 20, with a second eruption starting under the center of a small glacier on April 14. Neither eruption was unusually powerful. The second eruption, however, melted a large amount of glacial ice which then cooled and fragmented lava into gritty glass particles that were carried up with the rising volcanic plume.

Award winning showUgly Betty, the show that made America Ferrera a star when it started 2006 will be cancelled. Its final episode will air on the 14th of April, the 20th episode of season 4.
The show started strong on but has lately posted anemic ratings and was hurt by a move to Fridays last fall. In a statement made by ABC’s chief Steve McPherson“We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion. We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.”
The show originated from the hit Colombian telenovela “Yo soy Betty, la fea (I am Betty, the ugly)” which is a story of a smart but ugly University graduate trying her luck in getting a decent job but was regularly rejected because of her ugly features.
Here is the finale’s summary:
“Betty’s reluctance to tell Daniel about her future is holding her back, Justin and Bobby go in search of a new place — although Hilda doesn’t seem too keen. Amanda struggles to deal with the death of her dog, Halston, and Marc thinks he is destined to be alone.”
I will surely miss Ugly Betty after tonight’s episode, where will I get my Amanda and Marc fix? Will you also miss them after this night’s finale?
Four months after the last episode “Sectionals”, Glee returns with a new episode entitled “Hell-O” and now they are eyeing the Regionals.
